I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend. I’m back from a great camping and hunting trip with the entire family, and I think my bottom has finally defrosted after visits to the outhouse in 18-degree weather and snow!
I told you that we were going to win the $160 pot this year, and although I missed my shot at a deer, my husband, Dale, came through with flying colors. He got a 7-point buck, the biggest deer of the season. And, he says he’s going to use his winnings to buy me a new scope for my rifle so I won’t miss again next year!
As for the antlers, he plans to mount them and hang them in our game room at home. Thank goodness! I’m relieved that he didn’t get inspired by the holiday season and lobby to use them for our Christmas cards. As you can see from these holiday greetings below, the antler approach just isn’t the way to go…
