While the arctic temperatures and record-shattering lows have had everyone shivering this week, we’ve been thinking about another bone-chilling topic: industry fraud.
The cold, hard fact is that fraud is rampant in the Transportation & Logistics industry.
Although many of our weekly emails have a light, humorous tone, fraud protection is a matter we take very seriously.
That’s why we reveal the specifics of our 10-Point Carrier Qualification Process in our fourth Matchmaker Logistics video. These are the measures that quality brokers take to perform due diligence and reduce the risk of transportation fraud ranging from identity theft to ‘churning’.
Although this video probably won’t make your frozen face crack a smile (with perhaps the exception of my blooper at the 3:15 mark), we hope it will remind you how important it is to work with a transportation broker that consistently and thoroughly vets its carriers:
